FIRST ARTIFACTS FROM THE COLLECTION DEDICATED TO CITIES

Our community loved the artifacts dedicated to Ukrainian roots, particularly the embroidered dog tags, so we realized: it was time for a collection of city artifacts.

In our work, we always try to emphasize Ukrainian resilience: through Ukrainians’ superpowers, their quotes and names - and now through Ukrainian cities as well.

To serve as an important reminder: our resilience has a long history.

The “City Artifacts” collection begins with Kyiv, and this is no coincidence:

This is the city where the history of our statehood began, as well as where the history of the RBTNK brand is closely connected. And very soon, on May 31 this year, we will celebrate its 1,544th anniversary.

With these artifacts, we wanted to capture Kyiv’s symbols and emphasize the resilience of our capital, which has a glorious history. Our first idea (of course :)) was to feature a chestnut leaf - one of the city’s main symbols - along with key historical landmarks. Later, we decided to add the “Kyivan 100%” and “Kyivan Woman 100%” dog tag options - as a superpower embodying the city’s active, free and talented residents, as well as an element of personalization.

But we still weren’t 100% satisfied: we wanted something less obvious and more profound (as we do :)), so we continued brainstorming with the team.

Just as truth emerges from discussion, during our brainstorming sessions a seemingly simple yet conceptual idea emerged - one that highlighted the resilience of Ukrainian cities, not only the capital, and their long history.

So, we decided to engrave part of a map of Kyiv on the dog tags - the area from which the modern city once began, along with its year of foundation - 482: a reminder of continuity, memory and resilience that cannot be erased.

As part of the “City Artifacts” collection, we are also presenting a new lightweight format for the city - a small dog tag that continues to develop and change, just like the capital itself.

We are inspired by Kyivans - free, open-minded and talented.
It is an honor for us to make things for people who know how deeply one can love the place where their own story began.

We hope these artifacts will remind you of your roots, their strength and the resilience that has continued to live in the hearts of Ukrainians for centuries.
