FIRST ARTIFACTS FROM THE COLLECTION DEDICATED TO CITIES

Our community has really liked the artifacts dedicated to Ukrainian roots, particularly the dog tags with embroidery, that we realized: it was time for the collection of city artifacts.

In our work, we always try to emphasize Ukrainian resilience: through the superpowers of Ukrainians, their quotes and names – and now also through Ukrainian cities.

To serve as an important reminder: our resilience has a long history.

The collection City Artifacts opens with Kyiv, and this is not a coincidence:

This is the city where the history of our statehood began, as well as the closely related history of the RBTNK brand. And very soon, on May 31 of this year, we will celebrate its 1544th anniversary.

On these artifacts, we wanted to capture the symbols of Kyiv and emphasize the resilience of our capital, which has a glorious history. The first idea (of course :)) was to depict a chestnut leaf – as one of the main symbols of the city, and key historical landmarks. Later, we decided to add options for the dog tags Kyivan 100%and Kyivanka 100% – as a superpower that embodies active, free, and talented city dwellers, and an element of personalization at the same time.

But we were still not 100% satisfied: we wanted something less obvious and deeper (as we know how to :)), so we continued brainstorming with the team.

*the longest thread in the history of RBTNK

As truth is born in discussion, so during our brainstorming sessions, a seemingly simple but conceptual idea was born, which emphasized the resilience of Ukrainian cities, not just the capital, and its long history.

Thus, we decided to capture a part of the map of Kyiv on the dog tags – the part from where the modern city once began, and the year of its founding – 482: as a reminder of continuity, memory, and resilience that cannot be erased.

As part of the “City Artifacts” collection, we also present a new lightweight form for the city – a small dog tag that continues to develop and change, just like the capital itself.

We are inspired by Kyivans – free, open, and talented.
It is an honor for us to create things for people who know how deeply one can love the place where their own history began.

We hope that these artifacts will remind of one’s roots, their strength, and the resilience that continues to live in the hearts of Ukrainians for centuries.

Order the dog tags “Kyiv 482, to have an artifact of your city, while we will work on expanding the collection – stay tuned!
