In the world of RBTNK, there are 6 characters who fight for victory together: Defender, Medic, Rescuer (front) and Volunteer, Journalist, Worker (rear). These superheroes among us: with their backgrounds, skills and superpowers - are different, but united by a common goal. We want the RBTNK community to know more about them. So in the new Superheroes section, we talk to our heroes about the important things: why they chose this role, what their mission is, what they dream of and what artifacts help them every day.

Today we are talking with Denis, a friend of Promin, platoon commander of the 45th OABr.

Who are you in civilian life?

Whether in the army or in civilian life , I am me :) And I was engaged in architectural design. For example, even before serving in 2022-23, together with the Drozdov&Partners team, I won a competition for social housing in Lviv (on Mykolaychuk Street). I also taught for more than three years at the Kharkiv School of Architecture (Kharkiv School of Architecture) — first in Kharkiv, and then, after being evacuated, we worked in Lviv.

And how did you choose your role in the war?

I am interested in organizing teams. The position I chose in the army allows me to simultaneously influence the outcome of combat operations and develop as a manager and leader by taking on a large number of tasks and responsibilities. I believe that my mission is to improve the quality of management and decision-making in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What gives you the faith and determination to fulfill this mission?

The realization that I, as a unit commander, influence my comrades - I am their support and mediator in solving problems. I am grateful for the opportunity to live this and do this work. And, on the other hand, the fact that the choice has been made, there is no going back, adds encouragement. Therefore, I accept events, daily challenges and allow myself to change, to be more persistent in what I do.

How, in your opinion, can we build a bridge between the rear and the front?

To the military — to remain humane, not to spread hostility! To recognize the influence of the rear, especially individual organizations and volunteers. To gently promote why service is cool and important. To those in the rear — not to succumb to the IPSO and not to spread it. To volunteer, to collect donations. Everyone is tired, but we must continue to do what time requires of us.

Do you have a favorite story from work?

There are a lot of them and, mainly, they are about very cool organized interaction between different units (which is not often). This summer, we literally burned several enemy guns to the ground. And I also remember how we hit a 155 mm shell straight into a Uragan MLRS. It was a pleasure)

What are you dreaming about now?

These are not dreams, but great desires: to be as useful in defending the country as I can. To survive. And also — not to become a cold machine after years of service, but to become even more alive, deeper, to support and deepen close relationships at a distance.

A watch, a quality liner, headphones, earplugs, a multitool, and an RBTNK token.

And what is the inscription on the token?

Live bright, Die standing. It's about clarity, courage, and self-sufficiency in every moment.

And lastly: if you could imagine becoming any character in the game, who would you choose?

The most difficult question, because I haven't played games in a long time :) Unless it's chess. It's cool to be a pawn that makes an extreme move to the opponent's square and chooses which piece it wants to become. In these cases, as a rule, things go badly for the opponent)
